Our method

The 4 pillars of performance

Here at TwoTouch Coaching, we strive to develop all aspects of a player’s game from their physical and technical skillset on the pitch, to their tactical understanding and mindset qualities off the pitch.

PHYSICAL

We use the latest methods in sport science to optimise our players’ physical characteristics. These traits include speed, agility, power, strength and fitness.

TECHNICAL

All our players have different technical strengths and weaknesses. Our training is tailored to give each player what they need to improve technical ability in match-specific scenarios under fatigue.

Tactical

The modern footballer should be tactically flexible and understand their role within the team. We develop this side of our players’ games to ensure they can carry out their coaches’ instructions to the best of their ability.

Mindset

We aim to help our players develop a resilient mindset which underlies their willingness to work hard and improve all aspects of their game.

General Plyometrics

Hurdle jump variations to reduce injury risk and increase both power and elasticity.

Technical activation

Reactive and non-reactive technical drills to prepare the player for the session themes.

Physical focus

Specific plyometrics, movement mechanics, and assisted/resisted drills to enhance physical attributes.

Technical focus

Technical drills to improve skills in isolation, and integrate the physical focus into match-like scenarios.
